Exhibition 2026: WTF? Who's the Future?

Exploring the future through the lens of the now and interactive art.

My current exhibition WTF? Who’s The Future? is divided into two parts: Gallery 2121, which explores the future, and 'All About You' - interactive art that uses 'mind-reading' technology.

In Gallery 2121 I ask questions about the future through the lens of the now, by inviting visitors to view my earlier artworks, which often tell a story about the present, from the perspective of a being living in the year 2121. For eac1h artwork I present scenarios in a commentary with the aim of challenging and inspiring audiences to consider how our lives may change by then.

'All About You' is a series of interactive artworks projected onto the wall in a darkened space. The artworks respond to viewers' brain rhythms and facial expressions when they wear an EEG (electroencephalography) headband and look into a camera. Visitors are invited to try the artworks or watch a demo.

As part of the exhibition I invite visitors to express their opinions on the use of cognitive and emotional data by third parties, such as the data collected by wearables and by the artworks in 'All About You'. Check out the findings from my Bristol exhibition at: https://medium.com/@thecreativefuturist/mind-reading-art-exhibition-explores-psychological-data-use-by-wearables-and-ai-6a8464a5383f

Also in the exhibition I share the stories behind my work, including how my background shaped the art on display, and how my experience in human machine interaction and neuroscience led to creating interactive art for 'All About You'.
